Voices of Experience-Batavia-March 23, 2010 (1/14/2010)
Voices of Experience will be held on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at Genesee Community College. A collaborative effort of the YWCA of Genesee County and the Women's Foundation, Voices of Experience is a two hour program for middle and high school girls that includes a panel discussion and an "open mike" session. Panelists are women from a variety of professions. Voices focuses on "life education" for girls. The program emphasizes the importance of a woman having an education and /or the skills necessary to take care of herself financially. Since 1997, more than 2500 girls and women have participated in this event. Doors open at 6:30pm, program at 7:00pm.
