Immersive Grant Writing Program for Women of Color
Who is the program for?
This program is designed for women nonprofit leaders who come from—or serve within—underserved and underrepresented communities and wish to learn how to write grants to fund their nonprofit organizations. Participants must be leading a small to mid-sized organization with limited or no dedicated fundraising support.
You do not have the be in an Executive Director role, but your path must point to fundraising.
Your organization must have an official 501c3 designation.
Your organization must be within the Greater Rochester Area (Genesee County, Livingston County, Monroe County, Ontario County, Orleans County, Seneca County, Wayne County, Wyoming County, Yates County.)
How many organizations are we opening this program to?
5 organizations.
Each student is allowed to assign a program back-up from the same organization in the case you are unable to attend a class.
What is the cost of the program?
Zero cost.
How long is the program?
6 months, with up to 20 sessions (in-person and online).
Program Period: September 2025-March 2026.
Program sessions will occur during regular work hours. We strongly suggest obtaining approval to attend this program prior to applying. On average, participants will spend up to 5 hours per month in the program.
Graduation Requirements:
Participants must have adhered to all attendance requirements, including maintaining an 80% attendance rate.
Participants must complete all homework assignments for each session by the designated deadlines.
Participants will be required to produce a grant ready for submission by the end of the program.
